Khartoum, June 13 (SUNA) – The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abul-Gasim Burtom, received in his office at the Republican Palace on Monday a delegation of the Sudanese Sugar Company, headed by its acting General Director, Jadal-Rab Khalid Ahmed, and reviewed the company’s performance and the challenges facing its work.

In a press statement, the company’s General Director said that the meeting reviewed the critical financial situation of the company, the obstacles it faces, as well as the lack of funding to meet the preparations for the 2022 - 2023 season, which will start in current June, in addition to the inability to provide the dues of the farmers and the company workers.

He indicated that the member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council has promised to help solving all the obstacles facing the company, in coordination with the concerned authorities, announcing that a meeting would be held in the near future to solve these problems.

Jadal-Rab appreciated the continuous efforts of the Sovereignty Council member in overcoming the obstacles facing the Sudanese Sugar Company.
