Khartoum, June 16 (SUNA) - The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, chaired today at the Republican Palace the first consultative meeting between the tripartite military committee and the Forces of Freedom and Change-National Consensus.

The spokesman for the tripartite military committee, Brig. Nabil Abdalla Ali, said in a press statement that the meeting came within the framework of consultations on managing the national dialogue, noting that the meeting was transparent and dominated by a consultative spirit.

He said that the tripartite military committee stressed the need for the dialogue to be comprehensive, indicating that the purpose of the bilateral meetings that are being held is to hear to the other's point of view on managing the comprehensive national dialogue.

For his part, Member of the Leadership Committee of Forces of Freedom and Change-National Consensus Ali Khalifa Askouri pointed out that the meeting heard a detailed report on the meetings of the Tripartite Mechanism with the Central Council of  Forces of Freedom and Change and the military component that were held last week, and was briefed on the vision of the National Consensus group on dialogue, stressing that the two sides agreed to support the efforts of the Tripartite Mechanism as the only mechanism available for dialogue, pointing to the existence of basic pillars that all parties seek to strengthen.
