Genaina, June 18 (SUNA) - The Wali (governor) of West Darfur State, Gen. Khamis Abdalla Abbkar, has stressed the importance of reaching an agreement between all societal components and serious work for success of the agricultural season.
This came during the meeting held on Friday between the Council of Ministers of the state’s government and a delegation of the Youth Initiative for Development and Reconstruction in Krenek Locality, in the presence of the Executive Director of the locality, Nasser Al-Zain.
The joint meeting came within the framework of the state government’s plan to sit with farmers and herders to put an end to the disputes and to work together to make the agricultural season successful by signing a cessation of hostilities agreement between these parties.
The Wali (governor) called on the youth sectors to assume fully their responsibilities towards boosting the peaceful coexistence in order to achieve the desired goals.
On his part, the Executive Director of Krenek Locality, Nasser Al-Zain Hassan, said that the initiative aims to bolster the values of societal peace and to rebuild what was destroyed by the war, stressing their quest to make the agricultural season a success and to support the agricultural sector.
