Genaina, July 27 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Al-Tahir Hajar, and the Wali (governor) of West Darfur State, Khamis Abdalla Abbakar, received Wednesday in Genaina city, the capital of West Darfur State, a convoy of humanitarian aid extended by the United Arab Emirates in support of West Darfur State.

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Taher Hajar, has expressed in press statements at the Martyr Sebira Airport in Geneina, Sudan’s thanks to the government and people of the United Arab Emirates for its great role in supporting the humanitarian issues in the Darfur, especially in West Darfur State, appreciating the distinguished relations between the two countries in all fields.

He affirmed the government concern with the keeping of security, imposing the prestige of the state, holding reconciliations and addressing the deteriorating conditions of the displaced people and their return to the camps and then to their home areas, referring to the presence of the government delegation, led by the Vice – President of the Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, in Genaina city for addressing all these issues.

The Wali (governor) of West Darfur State, Khamis Abdalla Abbakar, stressed that the humanitarian situation in the state needs support, expressing thanks to the United Arab State for its generous support to the state, by sending a humanitarian aid convoy 750 cartons of medicines.
