Khartoum, July 28 (SUNA) - The comprehensive meeting to arrange the transportation and communications sector in the state of Khartoum decided to activate the role of the supervisory bodies to control the movement of transportation.

 This came in the meeting chaired by the Acting Wali of Khartoum,  Ahmed Osman, which included the Secretary-General of the State Government, Rabeh Ahmed Hamid, the General Directors of the Ministries of Finance, Social Development, Infrastructure andTransportation, the Directors of Transport and Petroleum in the state and localities, and the director and the transportation company.

The meeting discussed the activation and operation of state buses and adopted a plan to distribute buses to three sectors: Greater Khartoum, Greater Omdurman and Great Bahri to take advantage of the state’s transportation buses to transport citizens in peripheral areas to the center of cities through long lines at operational cost prices within the state’s plan to reduce the burdens of living and absorb negative effects to high fuel prices. The meeting also reviewed to the plan of the Ministry of Infrastructure to complete the southern line of the local train track, which in turn is considered one of the low-cost solutions in the field of transportation.
