Khartoum, Aug. 3  (SUNA) –   The acting Chairman of the Joint Higher Military Committee  for Security Arrangements, Lt. Gen. Dr Suleiman Sandal Hagar, met today in his office Dr. Suleiman Omda Hagana ,the director of  committee to handle the case of prisoners of war  and missing persons.

In the meting Lt. Gen. Sandal  listened to a detailed explanation about the activities and work of the committee and the efforts made to achieve its objectives.

Hagana revealed that the Prisoners’ Committee had obtained the required lists of missing persons, and that the work of the Committee has about to come  to an end  , calling for concerted efforts from all concerned state agencies and families of prisoners and missing persons to provide  information more accurately In order to reach specific decisions about the fate of the prisoners and the missing.

He noted  that the committee submitted its first report to the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

On his part, Gen. Dr. Suleiman Sandal  expressed  readiness of the Joint High  Military Committee for Security Arrangements to overcome all difficulties that could  obstruct the work of the committee and to provide everything necessary in order to accomplish its tasks as soon as possible, praising the work, which was carried out by the committee to implement  files  of the  security arrangements protocol
