Khartoum, Aug.3 (SUNA)- The Chairman of Peace and Reconciliations Committee of the  Blue Nile Region, Brig. Ali Yaqoob Jibril, affirmed that the committees of Al-Rufaa, Kenana, mechanism of Blue Sultanate and Rapid Support Forces’ initiative, have reached a document on cessation  of  hostilities pending holding a reconciliation conference between  the disputing  parties  in  the  Blue Nile Region.    

This came during he was  chairing today meetings of the authorized committees to reach to  formulas on  solving  the disputes in the region.

 The Chairman of Peace and Reconciliations Committee , unveiled that the meetings have reached  13 recommendations  which are  satisfactory  to all parties to stop hostilities represented in opening water sources,  markets and farms and imposing the state’s prestige in all Blue Nile areas, as well as  exerting  hard efforts to convene the reconciliation conference within  maximum ten days, besides deployment  of  joint forces to preserve security  in  the  disputes areas ,in addition to dealing with rules violators according to the  law.

 He added  that the  meeting also  agreed  to form a fact-finding committee, to collect weapons,  determine  losses and  deport  the  sedition inciters from the state.

Brig.Yaqoob, clarified that the  signatories  to  the document  included  the components of the Blue Sultanate, leaders of Hausa tribe, a committee of Peace and Reconciliation at Rapid Support Forces (RSF),  initiative of Shura council  of Rufaa and Kenana tribes and the mechanism of native administration.

He added that the guarantor of the  document  was Lt. Gen. Abdul-Rahim Daglo, the RSF second commander  and the Governor of Blue Nile Region , Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, affirming that designated committees from all parties have contributed  to  the initiative of halting hostilities.

Brig. Yaqoob stated  that the Governor of Blue Nile Region welcomed the initiative, indicating that the signing of  the  document of cessation of  hostilities would  be signed in the presence of the RSF  second commander, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Rahim Hamdan Daglo.
