Khartoum, Aug. 4 (SUNA) - The government of Sudan received today, Thursday, the first shipment of Egyptian humanitarian aid that amounting to 174 tons of medicines, food materials, blankets and tents, which will continue to arrive by air over the next two weeks.

 Federal Government Minister Buthaina Dinar, while receiving the shipment, praised the role of the Egyptian government and people, pointing out that the aid will go to the citizens who were affected by the incidents that had occurred in states of Blue Nile, Kassala and West Darfur, referring to the efforts of the Higher Committee for Emergencies headed by Gen. Shams El-Din Kabbashi and a number of concerned ministries and institutions.

For his part, the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Hossam Issa, said that this aid plane is the first among 6 planes that will continue to arrive over a two-week time, referring to the brotherly relations linking the two countries.
