N'Djamena, Aug. 4 (SUNA) - The President of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Chad, Gen. Mahamat Idriss Deby, received today at the Presidential Palace in N'Djamena, the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, and the accompanying delegation of the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Gen. Ahmed Ibrahim Mofaddal and the Head of the Military Intelligence Authority, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Mohamed Ali Sebair.

The two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing and developing them to achieve the common interest.

They also reviewed the joint files between Khartoum and N'Djamena and how to coordinate and cooperate on them.

The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, affirmed in a statement after the talks that the relations between Khartoum and N'Djamena are strong and deep-rooted, pointing out that the discussions dealt with security files and border issues in addition to economic cooperation, indicating that the Chadian President underscored all the issues discussed.

He referred to Sudan’s hosting of the meetings of the Sudanese-Chadian joint forces, which lasted for four days in Khartoum, and he pointed to the discussion of how Chad can benefit from Port Sudan harbor and all economic and trade possibilities, calling for the importance of facilitating the movement of citizens and trade between the two brotherly countries.
