Khartoum, Aug. 9 (SUNA) - IGAD's Special Envoy to Sudan, Ismail Weiss, has said that he wishes the Sudanese people consensus in order to achieve democratic transformation, noting that IGAD has been working in partnership with the United Nations mission and the African Union to facilitate dialogue between the Sudanese political parties.

In a press statement after today's meeting with the People of Sudan Call for National Consensus initiative, led by Sheikh Al-Tayeb Al-Jid, he said he had carried a message from Sheikh Al-Jid, which he would deliver to the IGAD organization.

For his part, the Executive Director of the Sudan People's Call for National Consensus initiative, Hashem Al-Tayeb Qareballah, said that the meeting with the IGAD envoy agreed that the solution shall be intra-Sudanese, stressing that they will work to achieve a national consensus through meeting with everyone internally and externally until a Round Table Conference will be held in next week.
