Khartoum, Aug. 13 (SUNA) – Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, Saturday morning returned to Khartoum after a two-day visit to the Republic of South Sudan.

He was received upon arrival at Khartoum Airport by the Secretary General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Mohamed AL-Ghali,

The visit of Gen. Daglo to the Republic of South Sudan came in the context of the relations between the two sister countries and to follow up the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement between the parties in South Sudan, as he is the head of the higher committee for the follow up of the agreement’s implementation.

It is to be noted that the Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council has met in Juba with the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, the Vice – President of South Sudan, Dr. Riek Machar, and the parties of the peace agreement.
