Abu Dhabi, Aug. 16 (SUNA) - The Military Attaché at the Sudanese Embassy in the sisterly United Arab Emirates celebrated the 68th anniversary of the Armed Forces Day in the presence of Ambassador Abdul-Rahman Ahmed Sharafi, the Sudanese ambassador to Abu Dhabi and Brigadier Ahmed Abdul-Rahman Al-Bashir, the Military Attache, and Lieutenant-Colonel Mudassir Osman, the assistant attaché and members of the staff of the embassy.

Ambassador Abdul-Rahman Ahmed Sharafi, Sudan’s Ambassador to the sisterly United Arab Emirates, congratulated members of the Armed Forces on the occasion, pointing out that the Armed Forces will remain the defender of the homeland and maintain its security and stability and protect its territories, expressing hope that Sudan will witness more development, security, stability and peace.

 For his part, Brigadier Ahmed Abdul-Rahman Al-Bashir, the Military Attaché at the Sudanese Embassy in the sisterly United Arab Emirates, said the mission's celebration of this occasion embodies the spirit of patriotism and the history of the Sudanese Armed Forces, affirming that the Armed Forces will remain loyal to preserve the gains of the country and to assume its role in safeguarding the unity of Sudan and securing the country from any aggressor.
