Khartoum, Aug. 23 (SUNA) – Director of Editorial Department of Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Akfa Al-Sheikh has affirmed the news agency's keenness on keeping pace with the rapid development in the media sector in general and electronic media in particular, noting that this was clearly demonstrated by the agency's introduction of the latest modern technologies in the field of media industry in order boost its news services for the national and international media.

This came when Akfa received at her office today a delegation of the Sudanese Electronic Press Association (SEPA) led by head of the association Abdul-Baqi Jubara Al-Bakri.

She affirmed that SUNA welcomes the proposals submitted by the association to activate joint cooperation between the two sides in terms of training and capacity building for employees of the two sides in addition to availing all capabilities of the news agency for the success of the association's programs.

For his part, Al-Bakri expressed his thanks to SUNA’s official for her initiative to support the association and the agency's welcome to establish joint cooperation between the two side to serve the employees of the two media institutions to gain more experience through joint workshops and training programmes.

He gave a briefing on the association's activities, programs and objectives and its role in promoting electronic journalism after the increase in the number of websites affiliated to it, which reached 54 newspapers and websites and 370 members.
