Kosti,Sept 9 (SUNA) - Commander of the 18th Infantry Division in the White Nile State,Major General Staff Sami Al-Tayeb Sayed Ahmed accompanied by the senior concerned officials in the White Nile State, received in Rabk this morning a convoy of humanitarian aid that was flown by the Emirates Red Crescent for the torrents and floods- affected people in the state.

The delegation accompanying the convoy heard  to a report from the Chairman of the Technical Committee for Autumn Emergencies on the extent of the damage suffered by the state during the autumn period in the localities of Al-Salam, Tandalti, Al-Jabaleen and Qoli.

 He said that the extent of the damage requires the provision of more humanitarian aid to include all citizens who lost shelter, pointing out that This convoy will be distributed to the affected people in the Wad Odobbakaria area in Al Salam locality.

 Major General Sami Al-Tayeb, commander of the 18th Infantry Division in Kosti,on his part,  welcomed the delegation of the convoy and said that this support is not strange for the UAE people, who support  the Sudanese people in humanitarian crisis, stressing that the 18th Infantry Division will provide all support to the delegation of the UAE Red Crescent to deliver aid to the affected people.

 Mohamed Salem Al-Junaidi, Head of the UAE Red Crescent delegation, explained that this convoy comes within the air bridge of the UAE, which carries tons of shelter, health and food materials for those affected by torrential rains and rains in Sudan.
