New York, Sept. 23 (SUNA) On the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, met with Burundian President Evarist Ndayishimiye.

 The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them, especially in the political and economic fields, as well as regional and international issues of common concern.

The President of the TSC briefed the Burundian president on the overall developments in the country.

On his part, the Burundian president affirmed his country's support for Sudan's unity and stability by virtue of its presidency of the East African Community (EAC) and its membership in the African Peace and Security Council.
