Khartoum, Nov. 19 (SUNA) - Khartoum will host on November 30 the Fourth International Festival of Sudanese Dates, which will last for three days, with wide international and local participation.

The Executive Director of the Sudanese Palm Cultivation Association, Imad Idris, said in a statement to SUNA that the festival is organized by the Khalifa International Prize for Palm Date and Agricultural Innovation of the United Arab Emirates, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Sudanese Palm Cultivation Association.

He explained that the festival includes seminars, lectures and exhibitions at 80 pavilions, in addition to field visits to a number of farms, and the distribution of nine prizes for the best farms, varieties, the packaging, and farm.

SUNA learned that the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Mexico will take part in the Fourth International Festival of Sudanese Dates.
