Khartoum, Nov. 21 (SUNA) - The Secretary-General of the Sudanese Businessmen Union, Dr. Amin Abbas Mahmoud, affirmed that wide opportunities available in various fields for economic, investment and commercial cooperation between the private sector in Sudan and the United States of America.

 He indicated that opportunities available especially in the energy, oil, gas and agricultural sectors in a way that achieves the interest both sides and contribute to strengthening and developing relations between the two countries.

The Secretary-General, during his meeting in his office at the Union today, with the Deputy Head of the Political and Economic Department at the US Embassy in Khartoum, Mr. Adams, and the Assistant Economic Attaché at the Embassy, ​​Justin King, asserted the importance of cooperation between the Union and the US’s Embassy Economic Department to work jointly to create an environment for cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries by facilitating bank transfers to facilitate and develop activity trade and the movement of employees of the private sector in the two countries and search for solutions to other challenges facing the dealings and activities of the business sectors in Sudan and the United States of America in joint bilateral dealings.

During the meeting, Dr. Amin Abbas Mahmoud, in the presence of the Chairman of the Sudanese-American Friendship Association, Sami Al-Jaali, and the General Manager of the Sudanese Businessmen Union,, Abu Bakr Mohammed Nour, expressed aspirations of the Sudanese side to create direct strategic relations with the private sector in the United States and to attract support from American programs and projects that aim to upgrade and develop capabilities of the national private sector, in addition to the importance of resumption of cultural, educational and academic cooperation between Sudan and the United States of America.
