Khartoum, Jan. 22 (SUNA) - The Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), chairman of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF), Dr. Al-Hadi Idris Yahya, returned home Saturday evening, concluding a two-day visit to the Republic of South Sudan.

Upon arrival at Khartoum Airport, Dr.  Idris said that the visit was aimed at explaining the stances of the Revolutionary Front on the current political process and steps to implement the Juba Agreement for Peace in Sudan in light of the current political developments, noting that the Revolutionary Front is an original party to the framework agreement, stressing that the Revolutionary Front did not see any other choice than proceeding with the political process, hoping to reach a final agreement, which leads to a stable civilian government in order to implement the peace agreement.

The TSC Member referred to their meeting with His Excellency President of the Republic of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit and the mediation team, who assured them that the Republic of South Sudan supports the options of the Sudanese people in stability and democratic transition and support for the ongoing political process, affirming that peace and stability in Sudan are the guarantee of stability and peace in South Sudan.

 He added that they found a desire from the mediation team to visit Sudan to hold discussions with all parties.
