
Khartoum, January 29 (SUNA) - The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Jibril Ibrahim and Wali (governor) of Khartoum State Ahmed Osman Hamza have inaugurated the activities of the first National Day for Sustainable Development under the slogan “Pioneering of Working and Productive Women and their Role in Achieving the Goals of Sustainable Development”.
Dr. Ibrahim esteemed the partnership between the Ministry of Finance and the government of Khartoum State in horizontal and vertical coordination to complete the structures for following up the implementation of the sustainable development goals and efforts to reduce poverty, stressing that acquaintance with the goals and establishment of partnerships between the federal government, states and civil society organizations will make progress in realizing the remaining period to achieve the goals of sustainable development at the state and local levels .
Wali of Khartoum State pointed out the launching of the first National Day for Sustainable Development in Khartoum State, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, would consolidate the state's efforts to move forward to achieve the goals and maintain the sustainability of development for future generations, stressing that Khartoum State has achieved an important breakthrough in the file of the sustainable development goals to complete the remainder of the period until 2030.
The governor saluted the efforts of working and productive women in achieving the goals of sustainable development and enhancing their role in society. Therefore, women were a slogan for the first National Day for Sustainable Development in Khartoum State, to confirm their leadership and readiness in shaping the features and implementation of sustainable development goals in order to be a model for all states of Sudan, especially since they constitute the largest proportion in the civil service
