Khartoum, January 29 (SUNA) - The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan returned to the country Sunday evening after an official one-day visit to the Republic of Chad at the invitation of the President of the Transitional Period in the Republic of Chad Lt. Gen. Mohamed Idris Debby.

 

TSC President was received at Khartoum Airport by the Ministers of Interior, Culture and Health as well as the Secretary-General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Yousuf.

 

During the visit, the President of the Sovereign Council held a bilateral summit with his Chadian counterpart that touched on the distinguished relations between Khartoum and N'Djamena, the strengthening of coordination and cooperation mechanisms between the two countries in regional and international forums.

 

Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan also held official discussions on the necessity to advance joint cooperation relations for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples, besides working to invigorate the joint ministerial committee between the two countries with the aim of revitalizing agreements and mechanisms at the economic, social, cultural and security levels.
