
Agadir, Feb.3 (SUNA) - The Acting Minister of Animal Resources, Hafez Ibrahim Abdel Nabi, announced a strategy that the ministry will implement, the most important of which is openness to developed countries in the field of fisheries, due to the rich resources that Sudan enjoys.
In a statement to SUNA, during his participation in the Fisheries Ministers meeting among African States bordering the Atlantic Ocean (ATLAFCO), held in Agadir, Morocco, said that he met with a number of ministers and discussed with them how to exchange and activate agreements and find opportunities for cooperation in this matter.
He stated that he gave them a full explanation of Sudan's capabilities in this field, adding that he invited African ministers to participate in the Green Belt Initiative conference that will be hosted by Khartoum early next July.
The minister indicated that he addressed the conference in Agadir ,underscoring the importance of caring for water resources and indicated that the conference came out with a recommendation to combat overfishing.
The minister affirmed that the export of livestock is open to all countries and continues with the Republic of Egypt, revealing that the ministry's strategy in the future depends on exporting meat rather than live animals.
