Shendi, Feb. 4 (SUNA) - The President of the Transitional Sovereignty and General Commander of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Gen. Mohamed Othman Al-Hussein, attended on Saturday morning a mass wedding of 60 couples who belong to the Command of the Third Infantry Division in Shendi city.
He also laid down the foundation stone for the houses of the non-commissioned officers and men of the Third Infantry Division, and inaugurated the Command’s secondary school for girls, in addition to a number of new facilities.
The occasions were attended by the Wali (governor) of Nahral-Neil State, the Director of the Social Security Fund of the Armed Forces, the Commander of the Third Infantry Division, the division’s officers, non-commissioned officers and men along with leaders of the local community in Shendi area.
