
Jabal Al-Hassaniya, Nahral-Neil State, Feb. 4 (SUNA) - The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, Saturday attended a mass wedding of 300 couples in Jabal Al-Hassaniya, in the presence of the Chief of Staff, the Wali (governor) of Nahral-Neil State and the Director of the Special Fund for Social Security for Armed Forces.
Addressing a mass rally at the area in the context of his visit to Nahral-Neil State, Gen. Al-Burhan has appreciated the determination of Jabal Al-Hassaniya people in moving forward in holding the mass weddings,and called on them to circulate these marriages in all states, promising them to follow up with the state government the efforts to providing them with basic services.
"There are those who believed that we were in the process to retreat from the framework agreement, stressing that the Armed Forces is not planning a coup against what they had agreed upon, but we are looking for the Sudanese to agree and unite to get the country out of its current situation, and we are continuing efforts to search for solutions that could bring the people together", Gen. Al-Burhan said.
He pointed out that the Armed Forces is not against anyone, and it has signed the framework agreement with the aim not to exclude others, and that the discussion on the agreed-upon issues includes all the political forces, except the National Congress.
He called on all parties to stop proceeding with the political process in isolation from the rest of the political forces, warning that the exclusion will not help building a state.
He also referred to the pledges of the year 2019, which included moving forward together to reach an elected government.
At the end of his speech, the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council directed the state government to continue arranging the affairs of the people of the area and to address their requirements.
He also pointed to the commitment of the Armed Forces to establish two schools, two health centers and to provide two ambulances, water and electricity services At Jabal Hassaniya area in coordination with the state government.
