Zalengei, Mar.6 (SUNA) – Ministry of Health and Social Development in Central Darfur State launched the national anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign “the March Round” at Zoom Locality.

 Director of Umshalaya Administrative Area and representative of the Executive Director of AZoom Locality, Idris Sheikha  called  on people of the locality to  hurry up  for taking the anti-coronavirus vaccines  so as not  to lose the chance availed by the campaign, referring to stability the Locality enjoys thanks  to work of the   security forces  and the peaceful-co-existence committees in the area.

Expert of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Routine vaccination Activities and Anti-Coronavirus   Vaccination Activities in Central  Darfur State , Abdalla Mohamed Omar said the national campaign targets all the states of Sudan.

 He told SUNA that Central Darfur State ranked the second among the states of Sudan regarding   the anti-COVID-19 vaccination coverage, adding that the campaign has begun in all localities of the State except North Jebel Marra Locality.

Official of Partnerships at  Health Ministry’s  Health Promotion Directorate, Jalal-Eddin  Al-Sadiq Mohamed  urged  the all  people  to immunized themselves  and not    heed to  rumors, affirming  the safety of the vaccine  ,  and that it was approved by WHO  and  the Federal Health Ministry.

 Jalal-Eddin said in a statement to SUNA that giving priority to localities comes with aim of strengthening the health system and enhancing the workers capacities in these localities.
