Khartoum, March14 (SUNA) - Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Al-Tahir Abu-Bakr Hajar met today in his office at the Republican Palace with a delegation of Mellit Group for Development and Services.

The meeting discussed outcomeof the recent visit made by the TSC member to Mellit locality.

The Head of the delegation, Engineer Babikr Mohamed Tobay said in a press statement that the group proposed a number of development and services projects particularly in water, health and education fields, indicating that Mellit town suffers from a real shortage of drinking water supplies.

He stressed that there is an underground water project, which is being worked on to permanently address the water problem in the locality.

Eng. Tobay added that Mellit Rural Hospital needs rehabilitation and development to transform it into a general or teaching hospital in order to play its role in providing the best health services to the citizens of Mellit in North Darfur State.

The Head of the delegation affirmed that  the TSC member promised to overcome all obstacles in order to implement these projects in Mellit locality.
